Renowned business mentor Maidevil Quiroz, together with entrepreneur María Cecilia Castellanos, co-founded Miami con M de Mujer, a platform created to amplify, connect, and empower women entrepreneurs in the United States. The initiative is inspired by the legacy of Julia Tuttle and Mary Brickell—visionaries regarded as the true founders of the city of Miami—whose fundamental role has been unjustly overlooked in official accounts.
Miami con M de Mujer emerges as a contemporary response to that historical omission, with the goal of projecting female leadership as a driving force for economic and social transformation. The organization seeks to build a vibrant network of women who, through their diverse experiences, can exchange knowledge, forge alliances, and strengthen their personal and professional growth.
In less than a year, the platform has brought together more than 60 ambassadors and organized four in-person gatherings in Miami, drawing close to 300 women entrepreneurs. The movement’s impact has already begun to expand to other U.S. cities and to countries such as Spain, where new initiatives are taking shape.
The organization aims to transcend local boundaries to become an international reference for sisterhood, collaborative leadership, and empowerment. As Quiroz explains: “Miami con M de Mujer is not just a tribute to the past; it is a declaration of intent about the future we want to build—one where women are visible, valued, and protagonists of their own stories.”
With more than 20 years of experience training entrepreneurs and a proven commitment to advancing female leadership, Maidevil Quiroz adds this new organization to her portfolio of impact initiatives, aligning her work with the principles of development, visibility, and social transformation that have guided her career.
