A 33-year-old woman was killed and eight other people were injured at the Rochester Main Street Armory music venue in Rochester, New York, during a concert on Sunday night, according to a statement from the city police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Agents initially responded to a report of gunshots inside the venue during a concert around 11:05 p.m. Arriving police officers found several injured people inside and assisted medical personnel in providing care, but found no evidence of a shooting inside the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe injuries appear to be the result of a large crowd pushing towards the exits following accounts of people hearing what they believed to be gunshots,\u201d Lt. Nicholas Adams said in the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three adults were transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital. A 33-year-old woman was pronounced dead; the other two individuals are \u201ccurrently listed as [in] critical condition, potentially in danger of death,\u201d the statement said. Six other people were dropped off by private vehicles at area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
