Two people have been arrested in South Carolina for allegedly trying to carry illegal drugs under a fake pregnancy belly, according to police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suspects Anthony Miller and Cemeka Mitchem were stopped by police in April, after their car nearly collided with an 18-wheel vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the time, Mitchem appeared visibly pregnant, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department said, but when questioned separately, the pair gave conflicting information about the due date of the baby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Realizing that police were becoming suspicious, Mitchem took off running and “very quickly drugs fell from the fake rubber stomach,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deputies discovered more than 1,500 grams of cocaine during the stop, according to the sheriff’s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
