Former NFL running back Alex Collins has died aged 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The star, who played for the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens, was driving a motorbike when it crashed into an SUV car on Sunday night, in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The car was making a left turn when Collins’s bike hit its rear passenger side, launching him through the window of the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver, whose name was withheld, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement released by the Seahawks – where Collins played for three seasons – his family described him as a larger-than-life personality”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
